KS3/4 Network Meeting @ Lord Lawson

Overview

The Teacher Network based in Gateshead is an AMSP-funded project. It is a new network set up in response to local demand, allowing teachers from around the region to meet, collaborate and share best practice. The agenda will be set depending on the needs locally. We will meet termly and the programme will have a mixture of practical activities and speakers with informal sessions

Content

The network meeting's agenda currently consists of the following items:

  • Raising Girls Participation
  • Differences in examinable content between exam boards
  • Use of Core Maths resources in the GCSE classroom to help meet OFSTED expectations
  • Teaching scale factors and similarity as a problem solving technique.
