Worcestershire/Herefordshire Teacher Network
Mathematical ModellingOverview
Worcestershire Teacher Network is an AMSP-funded project, allowing teachers of 11-16 and A level Mathematics to meet, collaborate and to share best practice. We meet once a term and the programme is planned by teacher request. The meetings are a mixture of formal and informal training events. Some meetings will be held online to allow wider participation.
Content
We will explore ways to introduce mathematical modelling, looking at ideas for KS3 and KS4, and the transition to KS5.
If you have resources or contexts that you use, share them with the group.
There will be time for discussion of other aspects of teaching, and to review the 2019 examinations.
