Developing Reasoning and Logic

Mathematical argument, language and proof is an overarching theme in A level mathematics. In this workshop teachers will explore ways of developing students' skills in this area.

Workshop Choices (choose 2 out of 3):

B: Using questions from University Admissions Tests in regular lessons
The TMUA (Test of Mathematics for University Admissions) and MAT (Mathematics Admissions Test) are a rich resource for starters, plenaries and longer tasks for use with all students. This workshop provides an opportunity to try out a range of questions, and consider how you might adapt them for classroom use.
