Overview

This event is ideal for students who are thinking of applying to study mathematics, engineering or related university courses, or for students who just enjoy solving mathematical problems.

Aims

  • To provide students with an opportunity to begin to increase their depth of mathematical understanding and so gain confidence in attempting more challenging questions and problems.
  • To allow students to discuss and try out problem solving strategies, to think about different ways of looking at example problems and how to approach writing solutions.
  • To provide teachers with information about the problem solving requirements of University Admissions Test.
  • To provide teachers with information about sources of problems that can be used to develop problem solving skills.

Who will benefit from attending?
